3-C Capsule 400 mg

৩-সি ক্যাপসুল, যাতে সেফিক্সিম ট্রাইহাড্রেট ৪০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ রয়েছে, এড্রুক লিমিটেড প্রস্তুতকৃত একটি মুখে সেবনযোগ্য সেফালোস্পোরিন এন্টিবায়োটিক। ক্যাপসুল আকারে প্রাপ্ত এই ঔষধ মুত্রনালীর সংক্রমণ, টনসিলাইটিস এবং গনোরিয়া চিকিৎসায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। প্রতি ইউনিট ৳৪৮.০০ এবং ৪ ক্যাপসুলের প্যাক ৳১৯২.০০ দামে প্রাপ্ত।

এই ঔষধ ব্যাকটেরিয়ার কোষ প্রাচীর গঠনে বাধা দিয়ে কাজ করে, যা গ্রাম পজিটিভ ও নেগেটিভ উভয় ধরনের জীবাণুর বিরুদ্ধে কার্যকর। বিটা-ল্যাকটামেজ এনজাইম প্রতিরোধী হওয়ায় অন্যান্য এন্টিবায়োটিক-রেজিস্ট্যান্ট ইনফেকশনেও ব্যবহারযোগ্য। প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য ২০০–৪০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ/দিন নির্দেশিত, শিশুদের বয়সভেদে ৭৫–৩০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ ডোজ দেওয়া হয়।

সাধারণ পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়ার মধ্যে ডায়রিয়া, বমিভাব বা পেটে ব্যথা দেখা দিতে পারে। এলার্জি প্রতিক্রিয়া বিরল হলেও ঔষধ বন্ধ করে দিতে হবে। ৩০°C এর নিচে, আলো ও আর্দ্রতা থেকে দূরে সংরক্ষণ করুন। গর্ভাবস্থা বা স্তন্যদানকালে সতর্ক থাকুন। কার্বামাজেপিন বা ওয়ারফেরিনের সঙ্গে ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন সম্ভাব্য।

সেফিক্সিম ট্রাইহাড্রেট ব্র্যান্ড হিসাবে ৩-সি ক্যাপসুল ৪০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ এর পাশাপাশি ৩-সি ২০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ এবং ১০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ/৫ মিঃলি সাসপেনশনও পাওয়া যায়। চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী সেবন করুন।

Adults & 12+ years: 200-400 mg daily (1-2 capsules) as single or divided doses. Gonorrhea: 400 mg single dose. Children (6 months+): 8 mg/kg/day based on weight. Typhoid: 10 mg/kg/day for 14 days. Renal impairment requires dose adjustment.

3-C is generally well tolerated. The majority of adverse reactions observed in clinical trials were mild and self limiting in nature. Gastrointestinal disturbances: The most frequent side-effects seen with 3-C are diarrhoea and stool changes; diarrhoea has been more commonly associated with higher doses. Other gastrointestinal side-effects seen less frequently are nausea, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, vomiting and flatulence. Pseudomembraneous colitis has been reported. Central nervous system: headache and dizziness. Hypersensitivity reactions: allergies in the form of rash, pruritis, urticaria, drug fever and arthralgia have been observed. These reactions usually subsided upon discontinuation of therapy. Hematological and clinical chemistry: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia and eosinophilia have been reported. These reactions were infrequent and reversible. Mild transient change in liver and renal function tests have been observed. Miscellaneous: other possible reactions include genital pruritis and vaginitis.

Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Lactation safety not established.

Precaution needed in renal disease, ulcerative colitis, or dialysis patients. Monitor blood tests during prolonged use.

Pediatric dosing based on age. Reduce dose in elderly & renal impairment. No specific guidelines for hepatic impairment.

Gastric Lavage may be indicated; otherwise, no specific antidote exists. 3-C is not removed in significant quantities from the circulation by hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. Adverse reactions in small numbers of healthy adult volunteers receiving single doses up to 2 g of 3-C did not differ from the profile seen in patients treated at the recommended doses.
