৫এক্স (ইউলিপ্রিস্টল এসিটেট) হল রেনেটা পিএলসি এর দ্বারা নির্মিত একটি জরুরী গর্ভনিরোধক ট্যাবলেট। অরক্ষিত মিলন বা গর্ভনিরোধক ব্যর্থতার ১২০ ঘন্টার মধ্যে গর্ভধারণ রোধ করতে এটি ব্যবহার করা হয়। ৩০ মি.গ্রা. এর এই ট্যাবলেট ডিম্বস্ফোটন বিলম্বিত করে কার্যকর ভূমিকা রাখে।

প্রতি ইউনিটের দাম ৳২০০.০০ সহ এই ঔষধ সাশ্রয়ী ও মানসম্মত। এটি জরায়ুতে ক্রিয়াশীল ঔষধ শ্রেণীর অন্তর্গত এবং ট্যাবলেট আকারে পাওয়া যায়। ঔষধটি শুষ্ক, ঠাণ্ডা স্থানে রোদ থেকে দূরে ও শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে সংরক্ষণ করুন।

বারবিটিউরেট, রিফাম্পিসিনের মতো ঔষধের সাথে পারস্পরিক ক্রিয়া সম্ভব। সাধারণ পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়ার মধ্যে মাথাব্যথা, বমিভাব ও পেটে ব্যথা রয়েছে। সেবনের ৩ ঘন্টার মধ্যে বমি হলে অতিরিক্ত ট্যাবলেট নিতে হবে।

গর্ভাবস্থায় এই ঔষধ নিষিদ্ধ। সেবনের পর ৭ দিন স্তন্যপান বন্ধ রাখুন। ইউলিপ্রিস্টল এসিটেট সম্পর্কে বিশদ জানতে মেডেক্সলির জেনেরিক্স ডাটাবেস ভিজিট করুন।

Dosage & Administration

[Dose: Single 30mg tablet ASAP post-exposure. Repeat if vomiting within 3 hours. Time limit: Not beyond 120 hours. Administration: Can be taken with/without food.]

Side Effects

Most common side-effects are headache, nausea, abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea, fatigue, dizziness, breast tenderness etc.

Pregnancy & Lactation

[Pregnancy: Contraindicated. Lactation: Avoid breastfeeding for 7 days. Recommendation: Use barrier methods post-treatment.]

Precautions & Warnings

[Precautions: Avoid repeated use in one cycle. Special: Monitor ectopic pregnancy history patients. Monitoring: Pregnancy test if menses delayed >7 days.]

Use in Special Populations

[Pediatric: Safety under 18 unestablished. Geriatric: No dose adjustment. Hepatic/Renal: Use with caution (limited data).]

Overdose Effects

Experience with 5X overdose is limited, in a clinical study, a single dose equivalent to four times 5X was administered to a limited number of subjects without any adverse reactions.
