এ-ফেনাক সাপোজিটরি হল ডাইক্লোফেনাক সোডিয়াম ৫০ মি.গ্রা. সমৃদ্ধ একটি এনএসএআইডি ঔষধ। একমি ল্যাবরেটরিজ প্রস্তুতকৃত এই মলদ্বারের সাপোজিটরি প্রদাহজনিত সমস্যায় দ্রুত কাজ করে। প্রতি ইউনিট ৳১৫.০০ এবং ২x৫ প্যাকের মূল্য ৳১৫০.০০ সহ সাশ্রয়ী মূল্যে পাওয়া যায়।

ডোজ: দিনে ২-৩ বার ৫০ মি.গ্রা. সাপোজিটরি (সর্বোচ্চ ১৫০ মি.গ্রা.)। বয়স্ক রোগী ও লিথিয়াম/রক্ত পাতলা করার ঔষধ ব্যবহারকারীদের সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন। বমি বমি ভাব বা মাথাঘোরা সাধারণত সাময়িক।

এনএসএআইডি গ্রুপের এই ঔষধের বিকল্প হিসেবে এ-ফেনাক জেল বা এসআর ১০০ মি.গ্রা. ট্যাবলেটও পাওয়া যায়। চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শে সঠিক ডোজ নির্বাচন করুন।

Dosage & Administration

Adults: 50 mg suppository 2-3 times daily (max 150 mg/day). Pediatric dose: 1-3 mg/kg weight. Elderly/renal impaired patients require dose reduction. Administer after meals or as suppository. Continue treatment for prescribed duration even if symptoms improve.

Side Effects

A-Fenac is generally well tolerated. Adverse effects are mild, rare and transient. At the starting of the treatment, however, patients may be sometimes complaining of epigastric pain, eructation, nausea and diarrhea or dizziness or headache. These effects are usually mild in nature. Peripheral edema and skin reactions, such as rash and eczema have also been encountered. A-Fenac Gel may cause local irritation and reddening of the skin and skin rash.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Avoid in third trimester. Use in first/second trimester only if clearly needed. Not recommended during lactation. Consider alternatives for breastfeeding mothers. Topical diclofenac gel contraindicated in pregnancy.

Precautions & Warnings

Monitor blood pressure regularly in hypertensive patients. Conduct biannual liver function tests. Watch for melena or hematemesis. Dose adjustment essential for geriatric patients. Avoid prolonged use without medical supervision.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric: Only for ≥1 year old (1-3 mg/kg for JRA). Geriatric: Start with half dose. Renal/Hepatic: Contraindicated if creatinine >1.5 mg/dL. Diclofenac requires dose adjustment in cirrhosis patients.
