এ-ফেনাক হল ডাইক্লোফেনাক সোডিয়াম ৫০ মি.গ্রা. সমৃদ্ধ একটি এনএসএআইডি, উৎপাদন করেছে একমি ল্যাবরেটরিজ লিমিটেড। এই ট্যাবলেট বাত, অস্ত্রোপচার-পরবর্তী ব্যথা ও প্রদাহ নিয়ন্ত্রণে কার্যকর। প্রতি ইউনিট মূল্য ৳২.০০ এবং স্ট্রিপ মূল্য ৳২০.০০ (১০ ট্যাবলেট)।

প্রোস্টাগ্ল্যান্ডিন সংশ্লেষণ বন্ধ করে ব্যথা-ফোলা কমায়। খাবারের পর সেবনে ২ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ প্লাজমা ঘনত্বে পৌঁছায়। ৯৯.৭% প্রোটিন বাইন্ডিং ক্ষমতা এবং যকৃতে বিপাক হয়। বমিভাব বা ডায়রিয়ার মতো পেটের সমস্যা এড়াতে মাত্রা অনুযায়ী সেবন করুন।

সাধারণ ট্যাবলেট (৭৫-১৫০ মি.গ্রা./দিন), এসআর ট্যাবলেট (১০০ মি.গ্রা. দৈনিক ১ বার) এবং সাপোজিটরি (৫০ মি.গ্রা. দিনে ২-৩ বার) ব্যবহার করা হয়। বয়স্ক রোগীদের কম ডোজ প্রয়োগ করা উচিত। লিথিয়াম বা রক্ততরলীকরণ ওষুধের সাথে ব্যবহার এড়িয়ে চলুন।

৩০°সে.-এর নিচে শুষ্ক স্থানে সংরক্ষণ করুন। গর্ভাবস্থার প্রথম তিন মাস ব্যবহার নিষিদ্ধ। ত্বকে র্যাশ বা ফোলাভাব দেখা দিলে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নিন। দীর্ঘমেয়াদী ব্যবহারের জন্য এ-ফেনাক এসআর ১০০ মি.গ্রা. বিকল্প বিবেচনা করুন।

Dosage & Administration

Adults: 75-150 mg/day in 2-3 divided doses. Children: 1-3 mg/kg for juvenile arthritis. Reduce dose for elderly/renal impairment. Take tablets after meals with water. Apply gel 3-4 times daily. Consult doctor if used beyond 2 weeks.

Side Effects

A-Fenac is generally well tolerated. Adverse effects are mild, rare and transient. At the starting of the treatment, however, patients may be sometimes complaining of epigastric pain, eructation, nausea and diarrhea or dizziness or headache. These effects are usually mild in nature. Peripheral edema and skin reactions, such as rash and eczema have also been encountered. A-Fenac Gel may cause local irritation and reddening of the skin and skin rash.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Avoid in first and third trimesters. Use during lactation only if benefits outweigh risks. Low secretion in breast milk observed.

Precautions & Warnings

Monitor renal/hepatic function during prolonged use. Avoid alcohol to prevent GI irritation. Do not apply gel near eyes/mucous membranes. Exercise caution when driving.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric use restricted to juvenile arthritis. Reduce dose by 50% in elderly. Adjust dosing interval in hepatic/renal impairment. Not recommended for self-medication in pregnancy.
