প্রোস্টাগ্ল্যান্ডিন সংশ্লেষণে বাধা দিয়ে প্রদাহ নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে। মাইগ্রেনের ক্ষেত্রে সর্বোচ্চ ১৫০ মি.গ্রা./দিন পর্যন্ত প্রযোজ্য। গর্ভাবস্থায় ব্যবহার নিষেধ, তবে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শে সীমিত মাত্রায় প্রয়োগযোগ্য।

৩০°C এর নিচে আলো ও আর্দ্রতা থেকে দূরে রাখুন। লিথিয়াম/রক্ততরল ওষুধের সাথে ডাক্তারি পরামর্শ ব্যতীত ব্যবহার এড়িয়ে চলুন। সামান্য পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়ার মধ্যে পেটে অস্বস্তি বা মাথাঘোরা দেখা দিলে চিকিৎসকের শরণাপন্ন হোন।

Dosage & Administration

Adults: Following an initial loading dose of 50 mg, 25-50 mg is to be taken every eight hours if necessary.

Migraine: An initial loading dose of 50 mg, then if necessary a further 25-50 mg after 2 hours. The maximum daily dose is 150 mg. The tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid, preferably before meals.

Children: Children over 14 years of age: upto 75 mg daily in divided doses.

Side Effects

Side-effects of A-Fenac K are usually mild and transient. However, if serious side-effects occur. A-Fenac K should be discontinued. Occasional: epigastric pain, other gastro-intestinal disorders (e.g., nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, dyspepsia,flatulence,anorexia). Rare: gastro-intestinal bleeding, peptic ulcer (with or without bleeding or perforation), bloody diarrhoea.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy (Category D): Contraindicated in third trimester. Use in first/second trimester only if essential. Lactation: Low milk excretion, usually compatible.

Precautions & Warnings

Monitor renal/hepatic function in elderly and chronic users. Consider gastroprotection with misoprostol. Avoid in CHF patients. Regular BP monitoring required.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric (<14 years): Not recommended. Geriatric: Use lower doses. Renal impairment (CrCl <30): Contraindicated. Hepatic impairment: Reduce dose by 50%.
