এ-ফ্লক্স (ফ্লুক্লক্সাসিলিন সোডিয়াম) হলো একমি ল্যাবরেটরিজ লিমিটেড প্রস্তুতকৃত একটি পেনিসিলিনেজ-প্রতিরোধী অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক ইনজেকশন। প্রতি ভায়ালে ৫০০ মি.গ্রা. শক্তির এই আইএম/আইভি ইনজেকশন গ্রাম-পজিটিভ ব্যাকটেরিয়াজনিত চর্ম, শ্বাসতন্ত্র ও জটিল সংক্রমণের চিকিৎসায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। ইউনিটপ্রতি মূল্য ৳৪৫.৩০।

ওষুধটি ব্যাকটেরিয়ার কোষপ্রাচীর গঠনে বাধা দিয়ে কাজ করে, বিশেষত স্ট্যাফিলোকক্কাসের বিরুদ্ধে কার্যকর। ফোঁড়া, নিউমোনিয়া, অস্টিওমায়েলাইটিস ও শল্যচিকিৎসার প্রোফাইল্যাক্সিসে ব্যবহার হয়। ৫ ভায়ালের প্যাক (৳২২৬.৫০) হাসপাতাল ও বাড়িতে ব্যবহারের জন্য সুবিধাজনক। আলো, তাপ ও আর্দ্রতা থেকে দূরে রাখুন।

মাত্রা বয়সভেদে ভিন্ন: প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের ২৫০ মি.গ্রা. দিনে ৪ বার, তীব্র সংক্রমণে দ্বিগুণ। শিশুর মাত্রা অর্ধেক বা চতুর্থাংশ। প্রোবেনসিডের সাথে ব্যবহারে প্লাজমা ঘনত্ব বাড়ে। লিভার/কিডনি রোগীর ক্ষেত্রে সতর্ক নিবিড় পর্যবেক্ষণ জরুরি।

সাধারণ পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়ায় বমি, ডায়রিয়া ও র‌্যাশ দেখা যায়। যকৃতের জটিলতা ঘটলে ব্যবহার বন্ধ করুন। গর্ভাবস্থায় শুধু প্রয়োজনে ব্যবহার করুন। স্তন্যদানকালে সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করুন। অন্য ওষুধের সাথে ব্যবহারের আগে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নিন।

Dosage & Administration

Adults: 250-500mg every 6 hours (oral/injection). Max 8g/day in severe infections. Children (2-10 years): Half adult dose. Renal impairment requires dose adjustment. Treatment duration: 7-14 days based on infection severity. Administer IM/IV Injection slowly.

Side Effects

There have been some common side effects of gastrointestinal tract such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dyspepsia and other minor gastrointestinal disturbances. Besides these rashes, urticaria, purpura, fever, interstitial nephritis, hepatitis and cholestatic jaundice have been reported.

Pregnancy & Lactation

FDA Pregnancy Category B. Use during lactation may cause diarrhea/rash in infants—monitor closely.

Precautions & Warnings

Monitor liver function and blood counts regularly. Discontinue immediately if hypersensitivity occurs. Superinfections possible with prolonged use.

Use in Special Populations

Dose reduction needed in elderly/renal impairment (if CrCl <10mL/min). Avoid in severe hepatic dysfunction.
