A-Rox ট্যাবলেট, রক্সিথ্রোমাইসিন 150 mg সমন্বিত, অ্যাম্বি ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লিঃ প্রস্তুত একটি ম্যাক্রোলাইড অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক। প্রতি ট্যাবলেটের মূল্য ৳৬.৫৩ এবং ৩x১০ ট্যাবলেটের প্যাক মূল্য ৳১৯৫.৯০। শ্বাসনালী, কান-নাক-গলা, ত্বক ও যৌনাঙ্গের সংক্রমণে এটি প্রেসক্রাইব হয়।

এই ট্যাবলেট ব্যাকটেরিয়ার ৫০সে রাইবোসোমে প্রোটিন সংশ্লেষণ বাধা দিয়ে কাজ করে। প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য ডোজ ১৫০ mg দিনে দুবার বা ৩০০ mg একবার, ৫-১০ দিন পর্যন্ত। শিশুদের ওজন অনুযায়ী ২৫-১০০ mg ডোজ দেওয়া হয়। থিওফিলিনের সাথে মৃদু ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন থাকলেও তা গুরুতর নয়।

Dosage & Administration

Adults: 150 mg twice daily or 300 mg once daily (empty stomach). Children: 2.5-5 mg/kg every 12 hours. Hepatic impairment: Max 150 mg daily. Treatment duration: 5-10 days post-symptom resolution.

Side Effects

A-Rox is well tolerated by patients of all age groups. Less than 4% of treated patients complain of side effects mainly nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and hypersensitivity rash. Other side effects reported include vomiting, dizziness, headache, pruritus, dyspepsia, flatulence, tinnitus, vertigo and constipation. These are in general minor and do not necessitate withdrawal of therapy.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy safety unconfirmed. Excreted minimally in breast milk with low infant risk. Consult physician before use.

Precautions & Warnings

Monitor liver function in hepatic disorders. Adjust dose for prolonged therapy. Discontinue immediately if hypersensitivity occurs.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric: Weight-based dosing. Geriatric: No adjustment needed. Hepatic impairment: Reduce dose. Renal impairment: No modification required.
