A-Rox Powder for Suspension হল Ambee Pharmaceuticals Ltd-এর উৎপাদিত একটি ম্যাক্রোলাইড অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক, যাতে রয়েছে Roxithromycin (50 mg/5 ml)। প্রতি ইউনিট ৳৪৫.১৭ মূল্যের এই পাউডার ফর সাসপেনশন শ্বাসতন্ত্র, কান-নাক-গলা, চর্ম ও যৌনাঙ্গের সংক্রমণের চিকিৎসায় ব্যবহৃত হয়।

ওষুধটি ব্যাকটেরিয়ার প্রোটিন সংশ্লেষণ বাধাদান করে কাজ করে। প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য ডোজ ১৫০-৩০০ mg/দিন, শিশুর ক্ষেত্রে ওজন অনুযায়ী (২.৫-৫ mg/kg) দেওয়া হয়। সাইটোক্রোম P-450 এনজাইমের সাথে কম মিথস্ক্রিয়া ওয়ারফারিনের মতো ওষুধের সাথে নিরাপদ।

বমিভাব (≤৪%) ইত্যাদি মৃদু পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া সম্ভব। স্তনপানকালে ব্যবহারযোগ্য, তবে গর্ভাবস্থায় চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নিন। ৫–১০ দিনের কোর্স সম্পূর্ণ করুন। ডোজের জন্য A-Rox 150 mg বা 300 mg ট্যাবলেটও পাওয়া যায়।

Dosage & Administration

Adults: 300 mg once daily or 150 mg twice daily on empty stomach. Pediatric: 2.5-5 mg/kg twice daily. Hepatic impairment: Max 150 mg/day. Reconstitute the Powder for Suspension as per instructions before use. Treatment duration: 5-10 days.

Side Effects

A-Rox is well tolerated by patients of all age groups. Less than 4% of treated patients complain of side effects mainly nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and hypersensitivity rash. Other side effects reported include vomiting, dizziness, headache, pruritus, dyspepsia, flatulence, tinnitus, vertigo and constipation. These are in general minor and do not necessitate withdrawal of therapy.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy safety unestablished. Excreted in breast milk minimally. Use under medical supervision during lactation.

Precautions & Warnings

Hepatic patients: Do not exceed 150 mg/day. Monitor liver function during prolonged therapy. Contraindicated in hypersensitivity history.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric: Weight-based dosing. Geriatric: Standard dose if normal hepatic/renal function. Hepatic impairment: Requires dose reduction. Renal impairment: No adjustment needed.
