প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য ৪০০ মিগ্রা একক ডোজ থেকে শুরু করে হাইডাটিড রোগে ওজনভিত্তিক ডোজ প্রযোজ্য। ১-২ বছর বয়সী শিশুদের অর্ধডোজ এবং ১ বছরের নিচে নিষিদ্ধ। জটিল সংক্রমণে ২৮ দিন পর্যন্ত চিকিৎসার প্রয়োজন হয়।

Dosage & Administration

Adults & 2+ years: Single 400 mg dose for common helminths. Strongyloidiasis: 400 mg daily for 3 days. Hydatid disease: 400 mg twice daily (＞60 kg) for 28 days. Children (1-2 years): 200 mg single dose. Take chewable tablet with food for better absorption.

Side Effects

Gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, dizziness, changes in liver enzymes, rarely reversible alopecia; rash, fever, blood disorders including leucopenia and pancytopenia reported; allergic shock if cyst leakage; convulsion and meningism in cerebral disease.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy Category C: Risk not ruled out. Avoid during lactation. Use only if potential benefit justifies fetal risk. Consider alternative therapies for pregnant women.

Precautions & Warnings

Monitor liver function and blood counts before/during therapy. Contraindicated in infants ＜1 year. Hydatid disease requires continuous medical supervision. Discontinue if hepatotoxicity occurs.
