এবিকন ম্যাক্স হল হেলথকেয়ার ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লিমিটেড প্রস্তুতকৃত একটি ট্রিপল-একশন অ্যান্টাসিড সাসপেনশন। প্রতি ১০ মিলিলিটারে সোডিয়াম অ্যালজিনেট (৫০০ মি.গ্রা.), সোডিয়াম বাইকার্বোনেট (২১৩ মি.গ্রা.) ও ক্যালসিয়াম কার্বোনেট (৩২৫ মি.গ্রা.) এর সংমিশ্রণে গ্যাস্ট্রিক এসিড প্রশমিত করে।

১০০ মিলি বোতলের দাম ৳৩০০ এই মৌখিক সাসপেনশন গর্ভাবস্থার হার্টবার্ন, গ্যাস্ট্রিক রিফ্লাক্স ও বুক জ্বালায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। পাকস্থলীতে জেল তৈরির মাধ্যমে এসোফেগাসকে সুরক্ষা দেয় এবং ৪ ঘন্টা পর্যন্ত কার্যকর থাকে।

৬ বছর ঊর্ধ্ব শিশু ও প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য উপযুক্ত এই ঔষধের ডোজ:

প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক/১২+ বছর: ১০-২০ মিলি দিনে ৪ বার
৬-১২ বছর: ৫-১০ মিলি দিনে ৪ বার

অন্য ঔষধ (এন্টিবায়োটিক, আয়রন সাপ্লিমেন্ট) সেবনে ২ ঘন্টা ব্যবধান রাখুন।

জেনেরিক ফর্মুলেশনের তুলনায় সাশ্রয়ী এই সাসপেনশন কোষ্ঠকাঠিন্য বা ফ্লাটুলেন্সের মতো হালকা পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া দেখা দিলে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নিন। আলো ও তাপ (<৩০°সে) থেকে দূরে সংরক্ষণ করুন।

Dosage & Administration

Adults: 10-20 mL 4 times daily post-meal. Children 6-12 years: 5-10 mL. Use upto 7 days. Shake well before use. Renal impairment requires dose reduction. Maximum 80 mL/day for adults.

Side Effects

In addition to the desired effect of the drug, some side effects may appear such as: constipation, flatulence, stomach cramp or belching. In these cases consult a physician. If too big dose has been taken, there might appear a sensation of swelling. In this case, it is advisable to consult a physician.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy Category B. Compatible with breastfeeding (excreted minimally in milk). Maximum 40 mL/day during lactation. Monitor electrolyte levels in third trimester.

Precautions & Warnings

Contains 12.7 mmol sodium/20 mL dose. Monitor calcium levels in prolonged use. Not sugar-free; caution in diabetics. Discontinue if diarrhea persists >2 days.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric: Contraindicated <6 years. Geriatric: Monitor for fluid overload. Renal: Avoid if eGFR <30 mL/min/1.73m². Hepatic: No dose adjustment needed.

Overdose Effects

In the event of over dosage symptomatic treatment should be given. The patient may notice abdominal distension.
