Accuzith Tablet 500 mg

Accuzith ট্যাবলেট হল একটি ম্যাক্রোলাইড অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক, যাতে রয়েছে এজিথ্রোমাইসিন ডাইহাইড্রেট ৫০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ। প্রস্তুতকারক ডিবিএল ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লিমিটেড। ইউনিট মূল্য ৳৫৫.০০; প্যাক সাইজ (২ x ৩ স্ট্রিপ) ৳৩৩০.০০। আলো ও তাপ থেকে দূরে শুষ্ক স্থানে সংরক্ষণ করুন এবং শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।

এই ট্যাবলেট ব্রংকাইটিস, নিউমোনিয়া, ত্বকের সংক্রমণ, মধ্যকর্ণের প্রদাহ, ক্ল্যামাইডিয়া ও টাইফয়েড জ্বরের চিকিৎসায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি ব্যাকটেরিয়ার রাইবোজোমের ৫০S উপাংশের সাথে যুক্ত হয়ে প্রোটিন সংশ্লেষণ বাধা দেয়। গ্রাম-পজিটিভ ও নেগেটিভ উভয় প্রকার অনুজীবের বিরুদ্ধে কার্যকর।

ডোজ: প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য ৩ দিন দিনে একবার ৫০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ অথবা প্রথম দিন ৫০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ ও পরের ৪ দিন ২৫০ মিঃগ্রাঃ। শিশুদের ওজন অনুযায়ী (১৫-৪৫ কেজি) ২০০-৫০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ ৩ দিন ব্যাবহার করুন। টাইফয়েড জ্বরে ৭-১০ দিন ৫০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ দিনে একবার। এন্টাসিড বা আরগোট এলকালয়েডের সাথে একত্রে এড়িয়ে চলুন।

পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়ার মধ্যে বমি, পেটে ব্যথা ও ডায়রিয়া দেখা দিতে পারে। গর্ভাবস্থায় শ্রেণী ‘B’ হিসেবে চিহ্নিত। স্তন্যদানকালে সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন। Accuzith ৫০০ মিঃগ্রাঃ একটি নির্ভরযোগ্য এজিথ্রোমাইসিন বিকল্প, যা সাশ্রয়ী মূল্যে গুণগত চিকিৎসা নিশ্চিত করে।

Adults: 500 mg for 3 days or 500 mg on day 1 followed by 250 mg for 4 days. Chlamydia: 1g single dose. Children (15-25 kg): 10 mg/kg for 3 days. Take tablet on empty stomach or 1 hour after meals. Treatment duration varies from 3-10 days based on infection.

Accuzith is well tolerated with a low incidence of side-effects. Most side-effects observed were mild to moderate in severity. The majority of side-effects were gastrointestinal in origin with nauseas, abdominal discomfort (pain/cramps), vomiting, flatulence, diarrhoea and loose stools being occasionally observed. Allergic reactions such as rash or photosensitivity have occurred and there have also been rare reports of serious hypersensitivity reactions. Reversible elevations in liver transaminases have been seen with a frequency similar to the comparative macrolides and penicillins used in clinical trials. Rarely, cases of cholestatic jaundice have been observed. Transient mild reductions in neutrofil counts have occasionally been observed in clinical trials, although a causal relationship to azithromycin has not been established. Hearing impairment: In investigational studies where higher doses were used for prolonged periods of time, reversible hearing impairment was seen in some patients.

Pregnancy Category B. No fetal risk in animal studies, but human data limited. Avoid during lactation.

Monitor for fungal superinfections during prolonged use. Assess creatinine clearance in renal impairment. Correct electrolyte imbalances.

Children: Weight-based dosing. Elderly: Monitor renal function. Hepatic disease: Contraindicated. Renal impairment (CrCl <40 ml/min): Use cautiously.

There is no data on overdosage with Accuzith. Typical symptoms of overdosage with macrolide antibiotics include hearing loss, severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Gastric lavage and general supportive measures are indicated.
