Ace Suppository 125 mg

এইস্‌ সাপোজিটরি স্কয়ার ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস প্রস্তুতকৃত ১২৫ মি.গ্রা. প্যারাসিটামল সমৃদ্ধ রেকটাল প্রশাসনের ঔষধ। মুখে ঔষধ গ্রহণে অক্ষম রোগীদের জন্য এই সাপোজিটরি কার্যকর ব্যথানাশক। ইউনিট প্রাইস ৳৬.০০ (৬x৫ প্যাক ৳১৮০) সহ বাংলাদেশে সর্বাধিক বিক্রিত জ্বর ও ব্যথানাশক।

সিএনএস-এ প্রোস্টাগ্ল্যান্ডিন উৎপাদন বাধাদানের মাধ্যমে কাজ করে। জ্বর, টিকাপরবর্তী ব্যথা, অস্টিওআর্থ্রাইটিস ও প্রসবোত্তর ব্যথায় বিশেষ কার্যকর। পাকস্থলীর সমস্যায়ও দ্রুত শোষিত হয়।

ডোজ নির্দেশিকা:

• প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: ০.৫-১গ্রাম ৪-৬ ঘণ্টা পরপর
• ৬-১২ বছর: ২৫০-৫০০মিগ্রা
• ৩-১২ মাস: ৬০-১২০মিগ্রা

সর্বোচ্চ ৪গ্রাম/দিন। আলো ও তাপ থেকে দূরে সংরক্ষণ করুন।

এই প্যারাসিটামল ব্র্যান্ড এতে এলকোহল ও খিঁচুনির ঔষধ সেবনে সতর্কতা আবশ্যক। স্কয়ার ফার্মার বিশ্বস্ত গুণমান এই ব্যথানাশক কে করেছে চিকিৎসকদের প্রথম পছন্দ।

Suppository dosage: 3 months-1 year (60-120mg), 1-5 years (125-250mg), 6-12 years (250-500mg), adults (500-1000mg) – 4 times daily. Max daily dose 4g. Renal/hepatic impairment requires dose adjustment. Administer with dry hands, wash hands after use.

Side effects of Ace are usually mild, though haematological reactions including thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia, and agranulocytosis have been reported. Pancreatitis, skin rashes, and other allergic reactions occur occasionally.

Pregnancy category B. Safe during lactation in therapeutic doses.

Monitor liver function in hepatic impairment. Caution in malnourished patients and chronic alcohol users.

Pediatric: Consult physician for <3 months. Geriatric: No dose adjustment. Hepatic/renal impairment: Reduce dose by 50%.

Liver damage is possible in adults who have taken 10 g or more of Ace. Ingestion of 5 g or more of Ace may lead to liver damage if the patient has following risk factors: If the patient is on long term treatment with Carbamazepine, Phenobarbitone, Phenytoin, Primidone, Rifampicin, St John’s Wort or other drugs that induce liver enzymes, or regularly consumes Ethanol in excess of recommended amounts, or is likely to be Glutathione deplete e.g. eating disorders, cystic fibrosis, HIV infection, starvation, cachexia.

Symptoms: Symptoms of Ace overdose in the first 24 hours are pallor, nausea, vomiting, anorexia and abdominal pain. Liver damage may become apparent 12 to 48 hours after ingestion. Abnormalities of glucose metabolism and metabolic acidosis may occur. In severe poisoning, hepatic failure may progress to encephalopathy, haemorrhage, hypoglycaemia, cerebral oedema and death. Acute renal failure with acute tubular necrosis, strongly suggested by loin pain, haematuria and proteinuria, may develop even in the absence of severe liver damage. Cardiac arrhythmias and pancreatitis have been reported. Immediate treatment is essential in the management of Ace overdose. Treatment with activated charcoal should be considered if the overdose has been taken within 1 hour. Plasma Ace concentration should be measured at 4 hours or later after ingestion (earlier concentrations are unreliable). Treatment with N-acetylcysteine may be used up to 24 hours after ingestion of Ace. However, the maximum protective effect is obtained up to 8 hours post-ingestion. The effectiveness of the antidote declines sharply after this time. If required the patient should be given intravenous N-acetylcysteine, in line with the established dosage schedule. If vomiting is not a problem, oral Methionine may be a suitable alternative for remote areas, outside hospital. Management of patients who present with serious hepatic dysfunction beyond 24 hours from ingestion should be discussed with the NPIS or a liver unit.
