প্যারাসিটামল ব্যথা সংকেত বাধা দেয়, আর ক্যাফেইন শোষণ ও ব্যথাসহনশীলতা বাড়ায়। প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক ও ১২+ বয়সীদের জন্য প্রতিদিন সর্বোচ্চ ৮টি ট্যাবলেট সেব্য। ঔষধটি শুষ্ক, আলোছায়াযুক্ত স্থানে সংরক্ষণ করুন।

Dosage & Administration

Adults & 12+ years: 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours (Max 8 tablets/day). Below 12 years: Contraindicated. Renal/hepatic impairment requires dose reduction. May be taken with/without food. Do not exceed 10 days without medical supervision.

Side Effects

Side effects of paracetamol are usually mild, though haematological reactions including thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia, and agranulocytosis have been reported. Pancreatitis, skin rashes, and other allergic reactions occur occasionally.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy (Category B): Safe for short-term use. Caffeine restricted to <200mg/day. Lactation: Paracetamol excreted minimally (<0.1% in milk); caffeine may cause infant irritability.

Precautions & Warnings

Monitor LFT with prolonged use. Contraindicated in peptic ulcer patients. Caffeine may impair glucose tolerance. Reduce initial dose by 50% in elderly >65 years. Swallow tablets whole.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric (12-18Y): Max 4 tablets/day. Hepatic impairment: Avoid if ALT >3x ULN. Renal (eGFR <30): Extend dosing interval to 8 hours. Geriatrics: Start with 325mg/dose.

Overdose Effects

Symptoms of Paracetamol overdose in the first 24 hours are pallor, nausea, vomiting, anorexia and abdominal pain. Liver damage may become apparent 12 to 40 hours after ingestion. Abnormalities of glucose metabolism and metabolic acidosis may occur.
