সাইক্লোঅক্সিজিনেজ-২ প্রতিরোধের মাধ্যমে এসিবিড প্রোস্টাগ্ল্যান্ডিন উৎপাদন কমিয়ে প্রদাহ ও ব্যথা নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে। মুখে সেবনের ২-৩ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ প্লাজমা ঘনত্বে পৌঁছায়। প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য প্রস্তাবিত ডোজ: সাধারণ ট্যাবলেট দিনে ২ বার, এক্সটেন্ডেড ট্যাবলেট দিনে ১ বার। কিডনি রোগে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ জরুরি।

Dosage & Administration

Adults: Extended Release Tablet – 200 mg once daily. Film Coated: 100 mg twice daily. Adjust dose in renal/hepatic impairment. Take after meals. Do not exceed 10 days without medical supervision.

Side Effects

Acebid is a non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which is involved in the production of prostaglandin. After oral administration, it is rapidly and completely absorbed an unchanged drug.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Contraindicated in third trimester. Avoid during lactation. Follow Beacon Pharmaceuticals guidelines.

Precautions & Warnings

Halve initial dose for patients >60 years. Monitor CBC in bleeding disorders. Administer with gastroprotective agents.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric safety unestablished. Reduce dose in elderly/hepatic impairment. Contraindicated in severe renal disease (GFR <30).
