এসিফিক্স হলো র‍্যাবিপ্রাজল সোডিয়াম ২০ মি.গ্রা. সমৃদ্ধ একটি প্রোটন পাম্প ইনহিবিটর, উৎপাদনকারী বেক্সিমকো ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস। এন্টেরিক কোটেড এই ক্যাপসুল আলসার ও অম্লজনিত পেটের রোগের চিকিৎসায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। ইউনিট মূল্য ৳৮.০০ (৬x১০ স্ট্রিপ: ৳৪৮০) সহ এটি সাশ্রয়ী চিকিৎসা প্রদান করে।

ওষুধটি পাকস্থলির প্রোটন পাম্প এনজাইমকে বাধা দিয়ে অম্ল নিঃসরণ কমায়। চিকিৎসার ক্ষেত্রের মধ্যে রয়েছে সক্রিয় ডিওডেনাল আলসার থেকে জলিনজার-এলিসন সিনড্রোম। “এসিফিক্স ক্যাপসুল দাম” ও “র‍্যাবিপ্রাজল বিকল্প” এর মতো এলএসআই কীওয়ার্ড রোগীদের সাধারণ প্রশ্নগুলিকে প্রতিফলিত করে।

মাত্রা নির্দেশিকা:

আলসারে ২০ মিগ্রা দৈনিক ১ বার (৪-৮ সপ্তাহ)
জিইআরডি’তে ১০-২০ মিগ্রা
জলিনজার সিনড্রোমে ৬০-১২০ মিগ্রা

শিশুদের ওজন অনুসারে ৫-১০ মিগ্রা দেওয়া হয়। সর্বোত্তম শোষণের জন্য সকালের নাস্তার আগে সেবন করুন।

কিটোকোনাজল ও এটাজানাভিরের সাথে কার্যকারিতা হ্রাস পাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। ১০% রোগীর মধ্যে মাথাব্যথা বা পেটব্যথার মতো পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া দেখা দিতে পারে। গর্ভাবস্থায় সতর্কতার সাথে ব্যবহার আবশ্যক (এফডিএ ক্যাটাগরি সি)।

Dosage & Administration

20 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks in duodenal ulcers. 20 mg for 6 weeks in gastric ulcers. GERD: 20 mg for 4-8 weeks. Zollinger-Ellison: 60-120 mg/day. Pediatric dose: 10 mg/day for ≥15 kg. Swallow enteric-coated capsules whole.

Side Effects

In general, Acifix is well-tolerated in both short-term and long-term studies. Acifix may sometimes cause headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, increased or decreased appetite, muscle pain, drowsiness, dizziness.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy Category C. Use only if benefits outweigh risks. Excreted in breast milk—monitor infants. Beximco recommends cautious use during lactation.

Precautions & Warnings

Monitor magnesium/Vitamin B12 levels during prolonged use. Osteoporosis patients need calcium/Vitamin D supplements. Rule out gastric malignancy via endoscopy before therapy.

Use in Special Populations

Pediatric GERD requires weight-based dosing. No adjustment in hepatic/renal impairment. Elderly patients need fracture risk assessment.

Overdose Effects

The maximum established exposure has not exceeded 60 mg twice daily, or 160 mg once daily. Effects are generally minimal, representative of the known adverse event profile and reversible without further medical intervention. No specific antidote is known. Acifix is extensively protein bound and is, therefore, not dialysable. As in any case of overdose, treatment should be symptomatic and general supportive measures should be utilised.
