Acitrin Tablet 10 mg

Acitrin Tablet is an antihistamine medication containing Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg. Manufactured by ACI Limited, this tablet effectively treats allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria, and allergy-induced asthma symptoms. Priced at ৳3.01 per unit (strip: ৳30.10), it offers affordable relief for seasonal and perennial allergies.

The drug works by blocking H1 receptors, reducing histamine-induced reactions without causing drowsiness. Its rapid action starts within 1 hour, peaking at 30-60 minutes. Unlike traditional antihistamines, Acitrin minimizes sedation risks, making it suitable for daytime use.

Dosage guidelines:

• Adults & children over 6 years: 1 tablet (10 mg) daily
• Children 2-6 years: 5 mg (½ tablet/1 tsp syrup) daily
• Infants 6-23 months: 2.5 mg (½ tsp syrup) daily

Common side effects include mild drowsiness (10% users). No significant interactions with theophylline or antibiotics. Store in cool, dry places (below 30°C).
