ফ্লুভার হলো ফ্লুনারিজিন ১০ মি.গ্রা. সমৃদ্ধ একটি ক্যালসিয়াম চ্যানেল ব্লকার, যা এসিআই লিমিটেড প্রস্তুত করে। মাইগ্রেন প্রতিরোধ ও ভেস্টিবুলার ভার্টিগোতে ব্যবহৃত এই ট্যাবলেট-এর ইউনিট দাম ৳৭.০০। প্রতি স্ট্রিপে ১০টি ট্যাবলেট পাওয়া যায় ৳৭০.০০-এ।

ওষুধটি পেরিফেরাল ভাসকুলার ডিজিস ও ভ্রমণজনিত অসুস্থতায়ও কার্যকর। ঘুম ঘুম ভাব, ওজন বৃদ্ধি, বা এক্সট্রা পিরামিডাল লক্ষণ দেখা দিলে ব্যবহার বন্ধ করুন। আলো ও আর্দ্রতা থেকে দূরে ৩০°C এর নিচে সংরক্ষণ করুন।

মাত্রাসূচী:

মাইগ্রেন: ১০ মিগ্রা (৬৫ বছর নিচে), ৫ মিগ্রা (৬৫+ বছর)। বিষন্নতা থাকলে বন্ধ করুন।
ভার্টিগো: দিনে ২ বার ১০ মিগ্রা (সর্বোচ্চ ৩০ মিগ্রা)।
ভ্রমণজনিত সমস্যা: প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের ১০-২০ মিগ্রা, শিশুদের ৫ মিগ্রা।

গর্ভাবস্থা ও স্তন্যদানকালে এড়িয়ে চলুন। কার্বামাজেপিনের সাথে ব্যবহারে মাত্রা সমন্বয় প্রয়োজন। পাকস্থলীর জ্বালা বা গ্যালাকটোরিয়া দেখা দিলে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নিন।

ফ্লুভারের বিকল্প হিসেবে ফ্লুভার ৫ মিগ্রা পাওয়া যায়। ঔষধের প্রতিক্রিয়া না দেখা গেলে ২ মাসের মধ্যে ব্যবহার বন্ধ করুন। দীর্ঘমেয়াদি চিকিৎসায় নিয়মিত মনিটরিং আবশ্যক।

Dosage & Administration

Migraine: 10 mg nightly (<65 years), 5 mg (>65 years). Peripheral vascular disease: 10 mg twice daily. Motion sickness: 10-20 mg/day (adults). Discontinue if no improvement within 2 months. Follow 5-days-on, 2-days-off regimen for prolonged use.

Side Effects

Drowsiness and/or fatigue, as well as weight gain and/or increased appetite may occur. The following adverse experiences have been reported during chronic treatment with Fluver: depression, of which female patients with a history of depressive illness may be particularly at risk; extrapyramidal symptoms (such as bradykinesia, rigidity, akathisia, orofacial dyskinesia, tremor), of which elderly patients seem particularly at risk. Infrequently reported adverse reaction are: heartburn; nausea; gastralgia; insomnia; anxiety; galactorrhoea; dry mouth; muscle ache; skin rash.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Safety unestablished in pregnancy/lactation. Consider alternatives from ACI Limited.

Precautions & Warnings

Avoid driving (causes drowsiness). Don’t increase dose for acute migraine. Monitor depression/Parkinsonism symptoms.

Use in Special Populations

Reduce dose in elderly. Pediatric dose: 5 mg/day (>40 kg). Hepatic/renal impairment requires dose adjustment.
