Description

Montilab is a branded medication containing Montelukast Sodium 4 mg, manufactured by Labaid Pharma Ltd. This chewable tablet primarily targets asthma prevention, exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and allergic rhinitis. Priced at ৳8.00 per unit, it offers cost-effective management for chronic respiratory conditions.

The drug works by blocking leukotriene receptors, reducing inflammation and airway constriction. Clinical studies show effectiveness in both pediatric (6+ months) and adult patients. Dosage varies from 4 mg to 10 mg daily, depending on age and condition. Always take as prescribed – typically once nightly or 2 hours before exercise.

Key features:

Common side effects include headache, diarrhea, and upper respiratory infections. Rare but serious reactions may involve neuropsychiatric symptoms. Consult doctors if pregnancy or breastfeeding.
