Dosage Guidelines:

• Adults/Teens (15+): 10 mg daily
• Children (6-14 years): 5 mg daily
• Infants (6 months-5 years): 4 mg daily

Common side effects include headache, nausea, and diarrhea. Rare risks involve neuropsychiatric symptoms (e.g., agitation, depression). Use cautiously during pregnancy/lactation. For overdose, seek immediate medical support. Avoid interactions with NSAIDs, sedatives, or anticoagulants.

Uncommon: Akathisia, anxiety, arthralgia, asthenia, abnormal behavior, depression, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, haemorrhage, irritability, malaise, muscle complaints, oedema, seizure, abnormal sensation, sleep disorders.

Rare: Angioedema, concentration impaired, disorientation, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, erythema nodosum, hallucination, hepatic disorders, memory loss, palpitations, pulmonary eosinophilia, suicidal tendencies, tremor.

Pregnancy Category B: Use only if needed. Caution during breastfeeding.

Monitor neuropsychiatric symptoms (mood changes, suicidal thoughts). Not for acute asthma attacks. Regular LFT monitoring in hepatic patients.

No dosage adjustment needed in elderly. Renal impairment requires no modification. Use cautiously in hepatic dysfunction. Pediatric dosing age-specific.

There were no adverse experiences in the majority of overdosage reports. The most frequently occurring adverse experiences were consistent with the safety profile of Montinex and included abdominal pain, somnolence, thirst, headache, vomiting and psychomotor hyperactivity. In the event of overdose, it is reasonable to employ the usual supportive measures; e.g., remove unabsorbed material from the gastrointestinal tract, employ clinical monitoring, and institute supportive therapy, if required.
