Movigel Topical Gel 0.2% + 2%

Storage: Keep below 30°C temperature, away from light & moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

Description

Movigel Topical Gel, manufactured by Nuvista Pharma Ltd, combines Mucopolysaccharide Polysulphate + Salicylic Acid (0.2%+2%) in a Topical Gel form. It provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic relief for muscular pain, sprains, rheumatic discomfort, and mild arthritis. Designed for adults and children above 12 years, this gel delivers localized effects through dual pharmacological actions.

The formulation leverages Mucopolysaccharide Polysulphate’s (MPS) inhibition of inflammatory mediators and Salicylic Acid’s keratolytic properties. MPS reduces prostaglandin synthesis and thrombolytic activity, while Salicylic Acid softens skin for better absorption. This synergy ensures targeted relief without systemic exposure, making it ideal for joint stiffness or sports injuries.

Apply 5-15 cm of gel to the affected area up to four times daily, gently massaging until absorbed. Avoid use on broken skin, children under 12, or during early/late pregnancy. Store below 30°C, away from moisture. Price varies; check with pharmacies for current rates.

Potential side effects include temporary redness or rash. Discontinue if adverse reactions occur. Consult a doctor before combining with NSAIDs or anticoagulants due to interaction risks. Not recommended for breastfeeding mothers on the chest area.

As a heparinoid, MPS may enhance bleeding risk. Patients on blood thinners should use caution. This Topical Gel offers a non-invasive alternative to oral NSAIDs, minimizing gastrointestinal side effects. Always follow dosage guidelines for safe, effective pain management.
