RePACE Tablet 25 mg

RePACE Tablet is an antihypertensive medication containing Losartan Potassium 25 mg, manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical (Bangladesh) Ltd. Priced at ৳4.51 per unit, this tablet effectively manages hypertension and protects kidneys in diabetic patients. It blocks angiotensin II receptors, reducing blood pressure and proteinuria.

The tablet is prescribed for hypertension treatment, either alone or with diuretics. For type-2 diabetics with proteinuria, RePACE delays kidney damage progression. Dosage starts at 25–50 mg daily, adjusted based on patient response. Elderly patients (over 75) require a lower initial dose due to limited clinical data.

Common side effects include dizziness, cough, and fatigue. Avoid using with NSAIDs or potassium supplements, as interactions may reduce efficacy or increase potassium levels. Pregnant women (second/third trimester) and nursing mothers should consult doctors before use. Store in a dry place away from light and heat.

Pregnancy Category D: Fetal risk in 2nd/3rd trimesters. Unsafe during lactation; consult doctor.

Geriatric (75+): Start with 25 mg/day. Renal impairment (CrCl <20): Reduce dose. Hepatic cirrhosis: Lower dose required. Pediatric use not established.
