This SC Injection forms subcutaneous depots, releasing insulin gradually over 42 hours. Unlike rapid-acting insulins, Tresiba minimizes hypoglycemia risk while maintaining fasting glucose levels. It’s prescribed for both Type 1 (with meal-time insulin) and Type 2 diabetes (alone or with oral antidiabetics). The recommended starting dose for Type 2 patients is 10 units daily.
